Today is February 2,2010 and the rodent form the east coast says that there will be six more weeks of winter yet to come. Better keep your umbrellas handy for a few more sprinkles. I prefer the rain over 102 degrees any day but it’s not too good for fishing in. We can’t do anything about it so you might as well enjoy it while you can. I was thinking about some sturgeon fishing lately but haven’t got around to it yet. I was hoping to get a round to it yet for a Christmas present ,ar ar ar ,a little humor there:)
Ok now for something that’s a little less painful. I was surfing the web and came across Gene Buckholz site and read his fishing report for our area today.Gene Buchholz <info@hookproshop.com>
Sturgeon is the hot bite now and small stripers are around Franks Tract if you could find them. Your better off with bait so they can find your hook. The same goes for Black Bass they are on the lam in this muddy water that is coming down river. I haven’t been out lately , just been tying some flys and I’m running out of supplies again. I also have time to get my boat ready for the spring run. Also waiting for the water to clear and for some of the rip rap to float down river. When your out on the water be aware of large pieces of drifting materials floating on the water this time of year. What may look like a twig above water could be a tree under water.i bet that would put a damper on your day if you hit that at any speed. Be safe out there and have fun.
Well until then, See Ya!
